Design Engineer

About the position:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and well organised Design Engineer to develop our street furniture range. The position will be based in our manufacturing facility in Tuam Co Galway. The ideal candidate should have a huge interest in product design and innovation and also have some knowledge of steel fabrication. The candidate will be interacting with the sales and production departments on a daily basis and will also speak directly with customers when neccesary. 

Requirements:

• Highly motivated individual
• Strong organisational skills
• Strict Document control techniques
• Excellent communication skills
• Previous steel fabrication experience
• Full trained in Solidworks and Autocad

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring all existing product drawings are up to date
• Developing new products
• Creating data sheets for any new products
• Product costing
• Working with customers to design what they require
